Adopt a Pumpkin
This isn’t your typical Pumpkin Patch. Every pumpkin is unique and each pumpkin comes with a special birth certificate that will officially make it yours! Cost is $5.00 for a small pumpkin and $10.00 for a large pumpkin. Proceeds from all pumpkin sales last year went toward free swimming lessons at the Desert Foothills YMCA.
Carefree Corn Maze
This year’s Corn Maze will be even better! The cost is just $5 for all day play for the entire family to get lost! (up to 4 people).
Costume Contests
Dress up in your “best” for a good time on the Sanderson Lincoln Pavilion stage as judges and the audience determine which goblins and ghosts have outdone themselves this year.
This contest will be based on crowd participation, so contestants need to bring their family, friends for their own cheering section. The contest is open to handmade or store bought costumes.*
*Please be aware that this is a family-friendly event and any costumes which may be considered vulgar or inappropriate may be disqualified at the discretion of the venue or event staff.
Craft Beer Garden

Face Painting
Christina Ranburger is a professional face painter who artistically painted child’s face and transform them into magical pumpkin art. She always uses high quality face paint that is safe on a child’s face. Her artistry will be available on weekends with prices ranging from $5.00 – $12.00.
Pumpkin Arts & Crafts
Local artist and Carefree resident, Vicki Orrico from Easy Street Galleria, sponsors children art activities with mini pumpkins, sand art and coloring t-shirts during the weekends and on Halloween in the Sanderson Lincoln Pavilion at the Carefree Desert Gardens.
Prices ranged from $1.00 – $15.00 and part of the proceeds were donated to the Salt River Wild Benefit Management Group.
Handcrafted Witch Hat Sales & Silent Auction
The handcrafted Witch Hats are like no other you’ve seen! All hats will be decorated by residents who donated their time and talents for a good cause.
On October 26th at 7:30 p.m., the final Silent Auction winners will be announced in the Sanderson Lincoln Pavilion. Raffle tickets were purchased for $5 or 3 for $10.
Pet Hats will also be featured to purchase for the Howl-o-ween Pet Costume Contest on Sunday, October 28.
Trunk or Treat
Enjoy a safe alternative to traditional trick or treating! Bella Donna & Cane will organize cars along Easy Street in Downtown Carefree for a Trunk or Treat celebration! Children and families are invited to walk along Easy Street visiting car trunks decorated creatively by local businesses and residents and collecting treats the Carefree way!
